Tulbaghia violacea (commonly known as Society Garlic) is a highly resilient, clump-forming herbaceous perennial. The classic green foliage form produces narrow, grey-green, grass-like leaves and long-lasting clusters of delicate lilac-mauve star flowers. Both the foliage and flowers emit a distinct garlic aroma when crushed. It flowers from mid-Spring through to Autumn with flowers on 50cm tall stems. Companion plant with roses to manage aphids.
