• Mail Order Plants - for customers who wish to purchase plants for shipment bare root through Australia Post
• Click & Collect Plants - for customers who wish to physically come up to the Nursery at Pine Mountain and collect plants in pots as well as bulk purchases of young plants as detailed in the Mail order Menu.

We deliver premium, direct from grower bare-root plants straight to your doorstep. To ensure your order arrives in peak condition, our mail order service operates under a strict, quality-focused schedule using Australia Post. Orders placed by Sunday evening are carefully packed and dispatched via Australia Post every Monday, accompanied by full consignment tracking.

📦 What We Ship

• Available for Delivery: We safely ship bare-root bulbs and grasses nationwide.
• Local Pick-up Only: Potted plants and fruit trees cannot be posted. They are available strictly for collection at our nursery.

🚚 Dispatch & Tracking

• Monday Post Only: We pack and dispatch orders every Monday. This prevents your plants from sitting in transit over a weekend.
• Ordering Deadline: Place your order by Sunday evening for dispatch the following Monday.
• Full Tracking: You will receive an email confirmation with an Australia Post tracking number the moment your order leaves the nursery. Australia Post will provide updates on your mobile phone relating to delivery.  

📝 How to Order & Pay

• Online: Order directly through our secure Pine Mountain Nursery Website.
• Email or Post: Send your order list via email or mail it to 416-454 Russells Road, Pine Mountain, QLD 4306.
• Payment: Payment must be completed within 14 days of placing your order to secure your plants. Please note we do not accept credit card details over the phone.

🚚 Shipping Rates & Upgrades

• Flat Rate Shipping: $14.95 per parcel for bulk packs or a selection of plants up to Australia Post's 5kg weight limit (Large).
• Free Registered Upgrade: Place an order over $200.00 and we will upgrade you to Registered Post for free. Simply select standard regular post at checkout.
• Large Orders: We can pack boxes up to 20kg. For very large orders requiring multiple boxes, we will contact you with the additional postage cost before dispatching so you can approve, reduce, or cancel the order.

📦 Pine Mountain Nursery Returns Policy

We breed, grow, and supply beautiful, high-quality bare-root plants direct to you. Because we are the primary plant grower, you can purchase with complete confidence knowing exactly where your plants come from.

⏱️ 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

• Our Guarantee: We offer a 7-day money-back return guarantee from your exact date of delivery if you are not fully satisfied with your purchased plants.
• How to Initiate: If you experience any issues, you must phone us immediately on 07 5464 3976 to discuss the problem and arrange the safe return of the plants.

📦 Transit Damage & Postal Issues

• Improper Courier Handling: Once your parcel is dispatched via Australia Post, the nursery cannot take direct responsibility for items misplaced or damaged by improper transit handling.
• Postal Insurance: We highly recommend purchasing Postal Insurance (available upon request) or upgrading to Registered Post to protect your investment.
• Suspected Tampering: If you suspect your postal package was tampered with during transit—resulting in plant damage or loss—you must take a photograph immediately and advise us right away so we can open an official investigation with Australia Post.

🗺️ State Availability & Restrictions

• States We Ship To: We safely post bare-root plants to QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, and SA.
• Quarantine Restrictions: Due to strict biosecurity laws, we do not ship to Western Australia (WA), Tasmania (TAS), or the Northern Territory (NT).
• International: We do not ship plants outside of Australia.

📦 Dispatch Schedule & Estimated Delivery Times

All plants are packed bare-root (no soil) in brand-new boxes and dispatched every Monday so they arrive within the same week. Order and pay by Sunday evening to secure dispatch for the following morning.

Once dispatched on Monday, expected delivery windows are:

·       1–2 Days: Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW.

·       3 Days: Central Queensland, Sydney, and NSW Central Coast.

·       4 Days: North Queensland.

·       5–7 Days: Melbourne, country Victoria, Adelaide, and country South Australia.

Note: If you are not home to accept the delivery, the post contractor will send a text message advising where the parcel can be picked up (usually local Post Office) unless you request us to leave the parcel in a designated place, eg front veranda.

🏡 Local Pick-up Alternative

• Potted Plants: These items are strictly not available for mail order but can be ordered through “Click & Collect”..
• Collection: You can buy potted items online and collect them at the nursery gate (416-454 Russells Road, Pine Mountain, QLD) at a mutually agreed time.

🎄 Holiday Closures

• Our mail order service pauses annually during the Christmas and New Year period to avoid holiday postal delays.

Welcome to the Pine Mountain Nursery gate pickup service. While interstate biosecurity laws prevent us from shipping potted soil across Australia without incurring significant on-costs, we love supplying our local Ipswich, Brisbane, and Southeast Queensland gardening community with fully grown, potted varieties.

 Skip the mail-order shipping times and collect your next sun-loving and shade-loving plants directly from our nursery gate in Pine Mountain, QLD 4306.

 How It Works

 1.       Place Your Order Online

Browse our online shop and add your chosen potted plants to your cart. During checkout, please pay for your items and select "Local Pickup / Click & Collect" as your delivery method. This will automatically remove all shipping fees from your order. 

 If you wish to purchase further plants when collecting your order, please be aware that we are located on the outer fringes of mobile reception and reception is poor and often fails. To avoid disappointment, bring cash. 

2.        Wait for Your Confirmation Email

Our nursery team will carefully select, prepare, and pack your potted plants. Once your order is ready at the gate, we will send you an "Order Ready for Pickup" email, which will include our full gate address and contact details and possible times when pick-up is available.

 3.       Advise when Pickup is to occur

It is important to confirm an approximate time when pick up would occur because Pine Mountain Nursery is not a retail nursery and there are only limited opportunities to pick up.

 4.       Pickup

Drive out to our beautiful Pine Mountain location to collect your items.

Pickup Window: Monday to Thursday between 9:00 am and 3:00 am. Saturday between 8.00am and 11.00am.  Other times by mutual agreement. 

Important Pickup Guidelines

Potted Plants Only: Our potted plant range is strictly for gate pickup and cannot be

sent via Australia Post.

Appointment Only: To ensure our team is available to assist you, please do not travel

to the nursery until you have received your official "Order Ready" notification.

Bring a Suitable Vehicle: Please ensure your boot or backseat has enough space to

transport upright potted plants safely back to your garden.

Visitation: We are not open to the public except via pre-ordered pickups

 Local Attractions to visit

Watercress Creek Olives & Limes: 5 minutes away and grows three different varieties of olives with over 1,000 olive trees and 800 Tahitian Lime trees.  Kholo Gardens: 10 minutes away is a peaceful nature retreat at Pine Mountain, located at 243 Riverside Drive. Wander lush gardens, enjoy open green spaces, spot birdlife and explore walking tracks including Tree Fern Lane and Coal Creek Walk. With picnic areas, barbecues and public toilets, it’s a beautiful place to slow down and spend time outdoors.

The nursery is a commercial production nursery and it not open to the general public at large. A limitied number of visitors may by prior appointment visit the nursery and purchase flowering clivia plants during the month of September. Best week to maximise seeing the flowering range is towards the end of the second week of September. Contact us for further details.

www.bestclivias.com.au has been created to offer rare or elite clivia for sale to collectors. Germinating seed is one way to build a clivia collection but seedlings are like children, they all end up different but may have some common traits. By providing access to flowering plants, customers know exactly what they are buying and can build a unique collection of flowering clivia. All the hard work in selection and growing them up to flowering has been done.

For most of the year there will be very little on this site. We start adding plants in flower from August through to mid- October each year. They can be purchased and either picked up at the nursery or for the cost of postage and packing sent bare root through Australia Post.

Last date in 2026 for mail orders is Sunday 13 December to ensure the plants are received before Christmas. Mail order deliveries will resume on Monday 4th January 2027. Any orders received during the Christmas and New Year period will not be processed until 4January 2027.
