The Cast Iron Plant Aspidistra elatior is a very hardy indoor plant or is suited to shady spots in the garden. It has deep green lush foliage to a height of up to 500mm.   It is particularly tough and drought tolerant. Prefers a tropical or sub-tropical climate.
