Iris Japonica

Iris japonica, also commonly known as fringed iris, is a native of China and Japan. Flowers are pale blue, lavender or white flowers with an orange or yellow crest. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant in temperate regions. It grows best in well-drained soils and prefers slightly acid soils. It has average water needs during the growing season but prefers drier conditions during winter. It prefers partial shade but can tolerate full sun. It is a triploid plant (3n chromosomes) and does not produce any seed. The price is for one small to medium sized plant.
