Hymenocallis speciosa is commonly known as the green tinged spider lily. It is a species of plant in the amaryllis family Amaryllidaceae.
Flowering: The flowers are a lot larger than H. Littoralis, white and vanilla scented. Flowers from mid-summer to late autumn. Up to 20 flowers can bloom on each stalk at a time.
Height & width: foliage 60 – 70 cm and width up to 1m when established.
Care: Grows best in sunlight to partial shade in rich well drained soils. Prefers humid conditions and can tolerate light frosts. It is native to the warmer coastal areas of the Caribbean.
Uses: Suitable in low lying areas as a ground cover, coastal areas and around water features. Mass plant for impact along borders and pathways
Plants available: The plants offered are offsets from flowering size plants. They will establish quickly.
