Neomarica caerulea "Indigo Blue" is also known as the Brazillian Walking Iris. It has blue green foliage and when it flowers makes an incredible display. Unlike other Neomarica, after flowering the flower stems remain erect and plants growing from those ends eventually fall onto the ground below.
Flowering: When in flower it provides an incredible display with its attractive fragrant indigo blue flowers with brown central markings. It flowers over a long period from late spring to summer months.
Height & width: foliage height to 1m and width up to 1m when established.
Care: Grows best in partial shade in rich well drained soils. Can tolerate light frosts. Moderate watering required during Summer and less through cooler months.
Uses: It is an excellent plant for ground cover, borders, or rockeries in shade or part-shaded areas and hanging baskets. Mass plant for impact along borders and pathways.
Plants available: The plants offered are offsets from flowering size plants and will establish quickly.
