The leaves of the curry tree are used in Southeast Asian cooking, and they are particularly popular in India and Sri Lanka. The leaves and the fruit can be used for cooking. The curry tree is also grown for its attractive foliage and aromatic fragrant creamy white flowers. It grows to about 3m.

Curry trees can be grown in a wide range of climates and can be grown either in the ground or in pots. They can also tolerate a wide range of soils but like good drainage.
